Transition-Metal-Mediated Aromatic Ring Construction東京農工大・田中 健教授の編集により昨年8月に出版された、遷移金属触媒を用いた芳香環構築法の新展開を論じる書籍 Transition-Metal-Mediated Aromatic Ring Construction (右に表紙) の書評がAngewandte Chemie International Edition (ACIE) に掲載されました。

この書評を執筆した仏エクス=マルセイユ大学のHervé Clavier研究員は、本書の各章の内容を紹介した後、「田中教授は、当分野の専門家と国際的に認められた著者を集め、この読みやすい本を世に送った」「本書の主題は、書名の上では芳香族化合物の合成法に限定されているが、実際には多くの箇所で芳香環でない複素環化合物の合成法も取り上げている。従って、書名が示すよりも広範な読者層、おそらくは有機合成化学コミュニティ全体に向けて書かれている」「本書が産学両界の研究者にとって豊かな情報源になると信じる」と述べ、本書を強く推薦しています。
